The Textures are a dynamic six-piece band known for their electrifying blend of soulful funk and jam-inspired grooves. Emerging as one of the most exciting acts from the Quad Cities' IL/IA music scene, The Textures gained recognition after clinching victory in the Battle of the Bands: Summer Camp On the Road competitions in both 2020 and 2022.
Formed in 2019 as a four-piece ensemble of friends aiming to play a handful of shows, the band quickly evolved into a high-energy collective led by the powerhouse vocals of frontwoman Kelsey Kays. Their distinctive sound combines the richness of dual guitars, synth-driven melodies, groovy basslines, and vibrant percussion, creating music that both challenges modern conventions and pays homage to classic funk and soul traditions.
Over the past five years, The Textures have graced stages across the Midwest, performing at prominent venues and festivals such as the Summer Camp Music Festival, Dawn and On Music Festival, Sweatstock, and Alternating Currents. With two studio albums already under their belt and a steady stream of new material in the works, The Textures are committed to delivering unforgettable live performances that make hips sway, heads nod, and audiences come alive.
